After the First ISFA organized in Tokyo in May 2016, the Second ISFA will be held in Paris centre during 12-14 May 2020. It will be organized by the Hydrodynamics Laboratory (LadHyX) from CNRS-Ecole Polytechnique, ONERA, the French aerospace agency and le CNAM. The ISFA series was founded by the Japan Research Association on Flutter (JRAF).

The objectives of the symposium are to investigate the integration of traditional and fundamental technologies of flutter in a multidisciplinary research environment, involving, but not limited to, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, wind and civil engineering, biological engineering and sports engineering. It is also to establish new aeras such as energy conversion and bio-inspired mechanisms like flight or propulsion, through analytical or experimental concepts of flutter phenomena.

General Chairman of ISFA

  • Dr. Jiro Nakamichi
    (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency)

Chairmen of ISFA 2020

  • Dr. Pascal Hémon (LadHyX - CNRS)
  • Dr. Xavier Amandolese (CNAM - LMSSC)
